FAQs

Get to know the new kegg app

Fertility Level (Low / Medium / High)

Shown right after your reading—this tells you how likely it is that sex today could lead to pregnancy based on your Fertility and Cervical Mucus Score.

Fertility & Cervical Mucus Score
This score combines your real-time cervical mucus trend (after the first full cycle with kegg) and your historical data to estimate your fertile window and probability a cycle day can result in pregnancy.

Fertile Windows
You will have two fertile windows and these will highlight all potentially fertile days.

 • Light green rectangle = Fertile Window.

 • Dark green Shaded Window = Peak Fertility

Note: you will only see the light green window at the start of your cycle. The dark green shaded window will appear once you reach your peak fertility.

Impedance Line (Black)
The impedance trend shows the real-time changes in your cervical mucus and takes the shape of a valley during your fertile window.

 • Can be toggled on/off on the Cycle screen.

 • Downward movement in or near your fertile window prediction suggests your cervical mucus is becoming more fertile.

 • Note: The impedance trend is not your basal body temperature. If you track your BBT, you can input your temps into your notes, or sync the kegg app with your Tempdrop device.

Ovulation Probability
Predicts how likely you are to ovulate on a given day

 • Can be toggled on and off to display likely ovulation days on cycle view.

 • Appears as blue bars as your fertile window progresses

 • Note: Ovulation day is not always the best day to try—your peak fertile days before ovulation are key!

The days in your peak fertile window (green shaded window) are your most optimal days to try to conceive.

The higher the Fertility and Cervical Mucus Scores are associated with a higher chance of resulting in pregnancy. The impedance trend will continue to reveal the changes in your cervical mucus.

Aim to time your efforts when your Fertility and Cervical Mucus Scores are high and your impedance trend is forming a valley.

The ovulation probability is an estimate of when ovulation may occur based on your trends. Your body’s most fertile days are actually the few days leading up to ovulation, not just the day you ovulate. This is because sperm can survive in your reproductive tract for up to five days, so having intercourse before ovulation increases the chances of sperm meeting the egg when it’s released.

The impedance trend shows changes in your cervical mucus. During your fertile days, your readings will form a dip known as your fertile valley. When you enter your fertile window and your impedance readings start moving downwards on the y-axis, your cervical mucus is becoming more fertile. When the readings rise back upwards, your fertile window is drawing to a close.

Note: if you used our old app, this is the same kegg reading line you were used to seeing in the old chart. It just has a different name!

The fertility and cervical mucus score (0-100) shows you the changes in your fertility status. As the score increases, the likelihood that conception may result from intercourse or insemination that day also increases.

The Fertility and Cervical Mucus Score reflects the probability that a given day can result in pregnancy. The days with the highest probability are those days leading up to ovulation, while ovulation day itself has a lower chance of resulting in pregnancy. As a result, you may see your score decrease around ovulation. This doesn't mean these days should not be considered fertile. In fact, the days in your peak fertile window (which should coincide with your fertile valley in your impedance trend) are your most optimal days to try.

Consistent, daily kegg use helps kegg make personalized and accurate predictions. For your first full cycle with kegg, your Fertility and Cervical Mucus Scores and fertile window predictions are based on the personal data entered during account set-up, while kegg works to learn your trends and establish your baseline. After one full cycle with kegg, your predictions and scores will be personalized to your kegg insights. The impedance trend reflects the changes in your cervical mucus from the first day of kegg use, and will be factored into your fertile window after one full cycle. If you have any questions, please contact our support team. We are here to help!

Note: LH peaks towards the end of the fertile window, and is not identifying the start of your fertile window.

Yes, the higher the Fertility and Cervical Mucus Scores are associated with a higher chance of resulting in pregnancy. The impedance trend will continue to reveal the changes in your cervical mucus. Aim to time your efforts when your Fertility and Cervical Mucus Scores are high and your impedance trend is forming a valley.

The new kegg app features a new, more personalized predictive algorithm. As a result, your fertile window may be different from your prediction in the original kegg app.

If you cannot take your reading during your 2 hour window, it is best to still take your reading (even if it is outside of your 2 hour window).

The new kegg app is normed against women with ovulatory cycles. Our research shows that women with ovulatory cycles typically have cycles between 15-45 days in length. The fertile window prediction and Fertility and Cervical Mucus Score is intended for women with cycles within that range.

If your cycles are consistently longer than 45 days in length, you will want to use the impedance trend (dashed black line) to see your real-time cervical mucus insights and to optimally time your trying to conceive efforts. Aim to time your efforts during the valleys that form. When you begin to see your readings descending downwards about around 3 weeks before your next cycle start, assume you have entered a fertile window. If your cycles are highly variable, you'll want to watch for valleys forming during a wider range of cycle days.

If your cycles are greater than 45 days consistently, we recommend consulting a healthcare provider, as ovulatory cycles are less likely when cycles are greater than 45 days in length.

Cycles shorter than 15 days are most often anovulatory. If you are consistently having cycles 15 days or less, we recommend speaking to your healthcare provider.

Building a consistent routine with kegg can make a big difference in the quality of your data and your ability to spot patterns. Here are some helpful tips to make daily readings a seamless part of your day:

1. Turn on reading reminders
Make sure notifications are enabled in your app settings. Our gentle reminders can help you stay on track, especially during busy days!.

2. Stick to a consistent time window
Aim to take your kegg readings within the same 2 hour window each day. This helps improve the accuracy and reliability of your data. If you're unable to take it at your usual time, don’t skip it—it's still better to take a reading than none at all.

3. Pair it with an existing habit
Anchor your kegg reading to something you already do every morning, like brushing your teeth. This makes it easier to remember and form a lasting habit.

Getting Started

Cleaning kegg

1. After you take your reading and the kegg app has updated with your daily reading, kegg should be washed. Using warm water, your hands, and a mild soap (optional), gently clean kegg, ensuring to be careful to not scratch the metal band and metal tip. Note: If you wish to use soap, please use neutral soap (i.e. something that you’d use on your face or sensitive skin). Before inserting kegg for your next reading, rinse in warm water.

2. kegg can air dry in a safe space (away from animals and anything that would touch kegg) such as on a towel. You can also optionally gently dry kegg using a soft towel, again taking care to not scratch the metal electrode portions. kegg is water-resistant, but avoid submerging your kegg in water.

Charging kegg
The kegg application will let you know when the kegg needs to be charged. If the kegg battery is too low to use kegg, it will flash yellow when you try to turn it on. To charge, simply plug the USB cord into the charging cradle, and plug a suitable charger block into the wall. Gently push your kegg down into the charging cradle until you see a slow yellow flashing light. kegg will glow green when fully charged. Be sure kegg is fully dry before inserting into the charging cradle as moisture may cause corrosion.

Note: to ensure optimal battery life of your kegg, only charge kegg as needed. The kegg might need a gentle push downwards in the cradle for it to start charging.

For your first cycle with kegg, your fertile window prediction and Fertility and Cervical Mucus Score are based on your personal data entered at account set-up. During this first cycle, kegg is learning your unique trends and establishing your baseline. After your first full cycle with kegg, your prediction and scores will be based on your unique trends, including your impedance trend, as well as your past historical data. The fertile window is dynamic and your peak fertile days will appear with consistent kegg use during the days of the cycle most likely to result in pregnancy.

kegg is made from 100% medical-grade silicone and stainless steel. It is water-resistant but you should avoid submerging your kegg in water.

Yes, kegg is an FDA-registered Class I medical device.

kegg is similar in size to a tampon. Only the ball portion of the kegg is inserted into the vagina, while the tail remains outside of the body and facing forward. At its widest point, kegg’s kegel ball is ~25.1mm in width. The body length is 50mm. If you stretch out the tail, which does not go inside your body, it is 110mm long.

kegg weights 29.35 grams (1.035 oz)

Two users cannot use kegg as each kegg device is registered uniquely to an account. Given the intimacy of a kegg device, we do not recommend sharing a kegg device or using a kegg that has been used by someone else.

kegg uses impedance technology to detect the changes in composition of the cervical mucus—the golden metric to pinpointing your fertile window. kegg uses safe and gentle electrical impulses to detect even the subtle changes in your cervical mucus. As the cervical mucus becomes more fertile, the impedance trend will begin to take the shape of a valley. The fertile window appears as a valley in the impedance trend, and this full valley is considered fertile.

After your first full cycle with kegg, your cervical mucus changes will be incorporated into your Fertility and Cervical Mucus Score as well as your fertile window.

You can select whether you would like to complete the guided kegel exercise routine and kegg reading or the kegg reading alone. The kegel ball portion of the kegg is inserted into the vagina while the tail remains outside of the body and facing forward. Following the 2-minute daily reading, the device connects to a mobile app that displays your reading’s results, cyclical trends, and fertility predictions. With consistent, once a day use, you will gain deeper insight into your own unique fertility pattern.

kegg is an FDA-Registered medical device.

Yes, kegg is safe to use and has undergone rigorous safety tests. This includes ISO biocompatibility testing which tests for: Cell Cytotoxicity, Vagina Irritation, Sensitization, and Acute systemic toxicity. kegg has been tested and passes the IEC60601-1-2 Medical Device Safety standards. Also kegg is an FCC registered device, conforming to FCC standards.

All Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) communication between kegg and the app on your device take place outside of the body. The app first connects to kegg before kegg is inserted. Once instructed to insert kegg, the Bluetooth Low Energy signals turn off and remain off for the duration of the reading. When the reading is complete, you will feel 2 vibrations and the app will tell you to remove kegg. At this point you remove kegg and hold it near your device when it will again use Bluetooth Low Energy to update your app with your data. To summarize, no Bluetooth Low Energy signals are sent while in the body. In addition, the signal is sent through the tail of kegg which is never inserted in the body.

Is kegg for me?

kegg is intended for women who are 21 years or older who are cycling and ovulating.

kegg should not be used in the first 6 weeks postpartum. Please discuss with your doctor when it is safe to use kegg in the postpartum period. For women who are not breastfeeding, we recommend waiting until at least 2 cycles have been completed, (AFTER 6 weeks postpartum) before using kegg.

Of note, bleeds and cycles can be unpredictable in the postpartum period. Since kegg relies on past data to formulate its predictions, the fertile window prediction may not be accurate if cycles are irregular during this timeframe.

Fertility monitors are eligible for purchase or reimbursement through both FSA and HSA accounts. Please contact your account provider to verify kegg is covered by your individual plan. Please contact our support team here if you have any questions.

kegg can help women with irregular cycles. Many women with irregular cycles turn to kegg after feeling frustrated with other tracking methods as they often miss the mark in identifying the fertile window. The daily readings with kegg reflect the real-time changes in fertility, allowing kegg users to be empowered to see when they are in a potential fertile window; the time of the cycle when intercourse or insemination can result in conception.

kegg detects the changes in the cervical mucus. As ovulation approaches, cervical mucus becomes more abundant and fertile. The kegg app places a fertile window prediction at the start of the cycle for average cycle lengths of 21-40 days. Since the prediction is made in advance and does not update with each reading, it is always recommended that kegg users use their daily insights from the reading and trendline to identify their fertile window. Women who do not have a prediction due to their cycle lengths being outside of the 21-40 day range, also rely on watching the trend of their readings and trendline to identify their fertile valley(s). As the mucus becomes more fertile, the kegg readings descend on the chart, beginning to form the fertile valley. You can read more and see examples at kegg.tech/start and read more about kegg use with irregular cycles here. We have a dedicated support team at kegg who can help offer insights about your chart, should you have any questions along the way. We are so confident that kegg can help you, that we offer a 12-month pregnancy guarantee. If you do not conceive in 12 months of using kegg as directed, we will refund you in full.

Conventional cycle tracking methods such as calendar apps and LH testing come up short when it comes to irregular cycles, since the fertile window does not occur at precisely the same time each cycle. With kegg, the user can be sure they will not miss any days of the fertile valley as the daily readings reflect the real-time changes even when fertile windows do not occur at the same time each cycle. While we often cannot control the multitude of factors that contribute to irregular cycles, such as stress, travel, hormonal disorders, or illness, you can be certain you will not miss your fertile valley when you use kegg.

Many women with PCOS use kegg to better understand their cycles and optimize their chances of conception. Since PCOS affects each woman differently—some ovulate regularly, while others have irregular or absent ovulation—there’s no single kegg pattern for all PCOS users. That’s why kegg tracks real-time changes in cervical mucus which is displayed as the impedance trend, offering personalized insights regardless of cycle regularity.

kegg’s algorithm identifies fertile windows in cycles between 15–45 days, which covers most ovulatory cycles. If your cycles are outside this range, you won’t see a predicted fertile window—but you can still track your trend and watch for fertile valleys. A dip in your impedance trend may signal your body is preparing to ovulate, even if ovulation doesn’t always occur.

Some users with PCOS may see multiple fertile valleys in one cycle—this often means the body is attempting to ovulate more than once. Pairing kegg with basal body temperature (BBT) can help confirm whether ovulation followed a valley.

Even in unpredictable cycles, kegg empowers you with daily data to help you spot potential fertile windows and better time intercourse.

kegg is not designed for women using hormonal birth control or IUDs, including copper IUDs.

Here’s why:

Hormonal Birth Control: Hormonal contraceptives, such as the pill, patch, or hormonal IUD, suppress ovulation. Without ovulation—the key event in a menstrual cycle—there are no fertility-related cervical mucus shifts that occur before, during, and after ovulation for kegg to track. As a result, the insights would not be meaningful. Conception cannot occur without ovulation.

Copper IUD:

While the copper IUD is non-hormonal, it can alter cervical mucus, which may impact the accuracy of kegg’s readings. kegg has not been clinically tested by women using non-hormonal IUDs.

When to Start Using kegg:

If you’re planning to conceive and have discontinued hormonal birth control, we recommend waiting at least two full cycles before starting to track your fertility with kegg as it can take some time for cycles to regulate after discontinuing birth control.

kegg is designed to support women in understanding their natural cycles and optimizing their fertility journey. If you’re transitioning off birth control, kegg can be a valuable tool once your cycle has returned to its natural rhythm. Some women elect to use kegg before this timeframe, however, the fertile window prediction may not be accurate.

kegg should not be used during menstruation. Note your bleeding within the mobile app and resume your daily kegg readings once your period ends.

It’s recommended to pause your use of kegg while you are experiencing a vaginal infection. You can resume using kegg after completing any prescribed treatment for the infection and once your symptoms have resolved. If you’re unsure, consult your healthcare provider to confirm it’s safe to use kegg again.

While many women use kegg alongside fertility awareness-based methods to track their cycles, kegg is not currently recommended as a standalone contraceptive tool.

If you’d like to learn more about fertility awareness-based methods and how kegg can complement them, visit: kegg.tech/fabm

Many women with endometriosis have been successful with kegg. In order to gain useful insights with kegg the user must ovulate and have cycles. Endometriosis impacts women differently, depending on the location and extent of the lesions, thus consideration for kegg needs to be based on the individual's presentation. If you experience pain with vaginal insertion such as during intercourse or tampon use, kegg is not recommended.

If you have a pelvic health condition such as prolapse or pelvic pain, we recommend consulting with a health professional to determine if kegg is right for you. If you experience pain with vaginal insertion, such as with tampon use or intercourse, using kegg is not advised.

We are deeply sorry for your loss and are here to support you during this time. You can begin using kegg again once bleeding has stopped and your healthcare provider has cleared you for vaginal insertion. The first day of bleeding is typically considered the start of a new cycle.

Keep in mind that cycles following a miscarriage can be unpredictable, and your fertile window may be delayed. Use your kegg readings to monitor for your fertile valley, as this will help you optimally time your trying-to-conceive efforts when you're ready.

If you have any questions or need further support, please don’t hesitate to reach out our team
here.

We recommend waiting at least two cycles (and a minimum of six weeks postpartum) before using kegg if you are not producing milk, or at least two cycles after discontinuing breastfeeding if you are still nursing. During lactation, hormone levels and fluid balance can fluctuate, particularly due to the hormone prolactin, which plays a key role in hydration and may affect cervical mucus patterns.

Many women choose to use kegg once their cycles return, even if they continue breastfeeding. However, it’s important to note that we cannot predict how your readings will appear during this time. For many, normal trends are observed, especially if it's been at least one year since childbirth.

As always, listen to your body and consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice based on your specific situation.

If you're tired of guessing when your fertile window falls or frustrated by relying on LH strips that may miss key fertile days, kegg could be the perfect fit for you. kegg is designed for women who want to optimize their fertility tracking by monitoring cervical mucus, one of the most reliable fertility indicators. It reveals your full fertile window, giving you confidence in timing intercourse to maximize your chances of conception. Here’s what makes kegg special:

 • Real-time insights: Track cervical fluid changes to see your fertile days as they happen.

 • Advanced predications: The kegg app forecasts your fertile window, empowering you to plan ahead

 • Simple Use: A quick, 2 minute reading per day within a consistent timeframe is all it takes

kegg is ideal for women who:

 • Are within reproductive age and have ovulatory cycles (21+).

 • Are not on hormonal birth control or using an IUD.

 • Are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or in menopause.

 • Are trying to conceive or wish to track their fertility.

Have irregular cycles or PCOS?
kegg is a powerful tool that has helped women with irregular cycles and PCOS. Conventional methods often fall short, but kegg’s real-time data helps you identify your fertile window even if your cycle is unpredictable. While predictions may be less accurate for variable cycles, many users with irregular cycles rely on the impedance trend to track their fertile "valleys" effectively.

Important considerations:

kegg’s accuracy may be influenced by:

 • Vaginal products or infections.

 • Breastfeeding or recent postpartum cycles.

 • Certain medications/supplements

 • Currently breastfeeding or have not had at least 2 menstrual cycles since the full completion of milk production

Note: kegg is not recommended as a standalone contraceptive device. Many women track their cycles using fertility awareness based methods, complemented with kegg use. Learn more at kegg.tech/fabm.

If you're ready to take control of your fertility journey with a tool that aligns with your body’s natural signs, kegg may be just what you need.

kegg is the only fertility tracker that detects the changes in the cervical mucus to reveal the full fertile window with precision. By focusing on cervical mucus, the most reliable fertility indicator, kegg empowers women with real-time insights to maximize their chances of natural conception.

Why Cervical Mucus Matters:
Cervical mucus changes dramatically during the cycle, especially during the fertile window to reveal all of the fertile days. Cervical mucus begins changing at the start of the fertile window before hormone changes are detectable. With kegg, you can see your full fertile window form in real-time, allowing yout o make actionable decisions to maximize your chances of pregnancy.

Here’s how kegg compares to traditional methods:

kegg vs. Basal Body Temperature (BBT):

BBT Tracking: Measures your body’s resting temperature to confirm ovulation after it occurs. While useful for retrospective tracking, it does not allow you to identify the start of the fertile window, and can only reveal that ovulation has occurred after the fact.

Challenges with BBT: Results can be easily influenced by irregular sleep, illness, or daily fluctuations, and it may come too late to optimize conception timing.
Why kegg is Better: kegg detects changes in vaginal fluid to identify the fertile window before ovulation, giving you more time to act on your most fertile days.

kegg vs. Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs):

OPKs: Detect the luteinizing hormone (LH) surge in urine, signaling ovulation within 12–36 hours. However, OPKs can’t confirm ovulation and may miss the fertile window entirely if the surge is not detected, brief, or remains elevated after ovulation.

Challenges with OPKs: Some women ovulate without a positive test, or receive positive tests without ovulating, making results unreliable for timing.

Why kegg is Better:

Studies show cervical mucus is often at its most fertile 2–3 days before ovulation—when conception is most likely. kegg reveals when your cervical mucus is fertile allowing you to time your efforts most optimally.

With kegg, you can move beyond guesswork and probability-based methods to confidently track your fertility with advanced technology tailored to your body.

The way women perceive and chart cervical mucus (e.g. sticky, creamy, egg-white, etc.) is not how kegg displays the fertility results. Instead, kegg detects even small changes in the cervical mucus using impedance technology. In addition to the impedance trend displayed on the cycle chart, kegg users also will see their Fertility and Cervical Mucus Score after each reading, ovulation probability, and fertility window.

No, the low energy signal is turned off and kegg does not transmit any signals during the reading.

kegg connects with the user’s phone’s low energy wireless connection before inserted. When prompted to start a reading, kegg is recognized by the app. The user selects in the app that they are ready to insert their kegg. At this time, the signal is turned off. This starts an automatic sequence to take the reading and then vibrate when the reading is complete. Once removed, the low energy connection is again turned on and the data is sent through the tail of the kegg (which is not inserted into the body) to the phone app.

The fertile window prediction provided by kegg is an estimate based on your data to help guide you. During your first cycle, this prediction is based on the cycle length you entered when setting up your account. For subsequent cycles, it is refined using your past trends to give you a forecast of when your fertile valley is most likely to form.

However, fertility is dynamic, and it’s important to focus on your kegg readings and trend line. If you notice your readings moving downward—whether within or outside the predicted fertile window—you should assume your fertile window is opening. The descending readings suggest the mucus is becoming more fertile, slippery, and sperm-friendly. Timing your efforts throughout the fertile valley you observe will optimize your chances of conception, even if it doesn’t align perfectly with the prediction. If your cycles are irregular, there is a higher likelihood that you may experience multiple fertile valleys- when one valley is not successful for ovulation and a subsequent valley forms. Ovulation cannot be confirmed by kegg data, however, tracking your basal body temperature can be very helpful if your cycle lengths are very variable to determine if and when your fertile valley was successful for ovulation.

Why Do Valleys Form Outside the Predicted Window that are not when I am fertile?

It’s normal and expected to see dips outside of your fertile valley. There are numerous cervical mucus changes throughout the cycle. For example:

Many users notice a dip in kegg readings shortly after their period ends.
kegg readings often dip during the luteal phase (the time between ovulation and the start of your next cycle) unlike basal body temperature (BBT), which shifts only after ovulation,

When traveling, stick to your usual routine and adjust your kegg readings to the new time zone.

Here’s how:
If you normally take your kegg reading at 10 PM at home, continue taking it at 10 PM in the new time zone. For example: If you live in NY and take your reading at 10 PM EST and you are visiting California, you will then take your readings at 10 PM PST while in California.
The kegg app will automatically log the reading time based on your current location.

Understand Potential Changes:
Significant travel or routine disruptions may cause atypical patterns in your kegg readings.
It’s not uncommon for travel to temporarily impact your cycle or delay ovulation.

Keep Notes in the App:
Use the optional journal feature to note which days you’re in a different time zone. This can help you interpret any unusual trends in your readings.

By staying consistent with your reading time and documenting your travel, you can ensure kegg continues to provide valuable insights during your journey.

Yes! kegg is thoughtfully designed with your comfort in mind:

Ergonomic Design:
kegg is small, smooth, and fits easily in the palm of your hand.

When to Consult a Health Professional:

If you experience pain with any vaginal insertion such as intercourse or tampons, using kegg may not be suitable for you. In such cases, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional to determine whether kegg is a good fit for your needs.

kegg is designed to empower your fertility journey while ensuring your comfort every step of the way.

kegg detects even the subtle changes in the cervical mucus. Vaginal douches, vaginal medications, creams, lubricants, and ointments may mix with the cervical mucus and therefore reflect changes that would not have otherwise been observed. We recommend not using kegg while treating an active infection, such as BV or yeast.

If you are prescribed vaginal progesterone to use after ovulation, you can continue to use kegg. While the progesterone will likely impact your cervical mucus, since the fertile window has already passed, we don't worry about the impact it has on kegg readings during this timeframe!

How Many Cycles Does It Take to Start Seeing Your Fertile Window Prediction?

kegg begins providing fertile window predictions immediately based on the data you input at setup. These predictions become more accurate as kegg gathers more data about your body over multiple cycles.

Tips for Accurate Predictions:

Consistency is Key:
Take daily readings to help kegg learn your unique trends and provide the most personalized insights.

Possible Reasons for Missing Predictions:
Cycle Length Outside 21–40 Days: kegg’s predictions are optimized for cycles between 21 and 40 days. If your cycle length or past periods entered in the app fall outside this range, predictions may not appear.

Cycle Length Exceeds Prediction:

If your current cycle is longer than the length initially entered in the app, kegg may not generate a prediction.

Using kegg Without a Fertile Window Prediction:
Even if you don’t see a specific prediction, you can still track your cycle effectively:

Watch for the “fertile valley,” a downward trend in your kegg readings that signals your fertile window is approaching.
With consistent use, kegg will refine its predictions over time, providing increasingly accurate insights tailored to your unique cycle patterns.

You can opt to complete the kegel exercise with the fertility reading, or the fertility reading only.

Absolutely! kegg is designed to be simple, quick, and convenient, taking just 2 minutes per day. Here’s why kegg is easy to incorporate into your routine:

Convenient Daily Use:

Many women use kegg during their morning or evening routines, such as while brushing their teeth, sipping coffee, or catching up on the news. Just set aside a consistent time each day to take your reading.

Learning Your Body’s Trends

kegg starts predicting your fertile window right away based on your cycle length. Over 1–2 complete cycles, kegg will adapt to your unique trends using the “kegg method” for more personalized predictions. If your cycle length varies significantly, kegg may need a little extra time to learn your patterns.

Simple Guidelines for Best Results:

Begin using kegg any time during your cycle except on period days. Take your reading daily within the same 2-hour time frame, anytime from one hour before to one hour after your target time. Avoid external vaginal fluids within 8 hours of your two hour timeframe (e.g., semen, douches, or suppositories) as they can impact readings. Wait at least 8 hours after unprotected sex before taking your reading.

Yes, you can update the cycle length you entered during setup!

Here's how:

Update Your Period in the Calendar

Go to the Calendar tab in the app. Select Edit Period and tap the first day of your last period in the calendar. This will automatically update the cycle length you initially provided. As a result, your fertile window predictions may adjust based on the new information.

Enter Past Period Data

You can add up to 90 days of past period information. This historical data will help refine your fertile window predictions for your current cycle.

Adjust If You Were Unsure of Your Cycle Length

If you originally selected "not sure" about your cycle length during account setup, adding previous period data in the calendar will override that selection. The app will calculate your cycle length based on the new information you provide.

Cycle Length Learns Over Time

kegg’s app continuously learns and adjusts your estimated cycle length over time, ensuring your predictions become more personalized with each cycle.

It is important to be consistent with the time of day that you use kegg – within a 2 hour period for the most accurate results. • Take your reading within the same 2 hour period each day for accurate results. If you miss your reading time frame it is advised to skip the reading for that day.
 • Taking multiple readings per day or back-to-back is not recommended as the results may not be accurate. kegg will only record the final reading of the day.
 • Do not use kegg within 8 hours after intercourse
 • Do not use kegg while also using an intravaginal medication, supplements, or treatments.
 • Always consult a physician before using kegg or if you have any concerns regarding the use of this product.
