Yes, kegg is safe to use and has undergone rigorous safety tests. This includes ISO biocompatibility testing which tests for: Cell Cytotoxicity, Vagina Irritation, Sensitization, and Acute systemic toxicity. kegg has been tested and passes the IEC60601-1-2 Medical Device Safety standards. Also kegg is an FCC registered device, conforming to FCC standards. </p><p><br id="isPasted">All Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) communication between kegg and the app on your device take place outside of the body. The app first connects to kegg before kegg is inserted. Once instructed to insert kegg, the Bluetooth Low Energy signals turn off and remain off for the duration of the reading. When the reading is complete, you will feel 2 vibrations and the app will tell you to remove kegg. At this point you remove kegg and hold it near your device when it will again use Bluetooth Low Energy to update your app with your data. To summarize, no Bluetooth Low Energy signals are sent while in the body.
